I can’t tell you how excited I am to dip my toe in the Baltic Sea…
PÖFF, (Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival) is back for its 27th edition this November.
The experience of the festival would be enough for me but, amazingly, I’m there as a panelist at the “Just Film: Youth & Children’s Film Festival”!
I can’t express what this means to me as a film educator. An opportunity to encourage young people (with their parents and teachers) to step away from being a consumer and instead, use their phone to create… specifically, to explore what’s going on behind the camera…

Since 1997, PÖFF has grown into the only A-category film festival in Northern Europe, sharing that status with Cannes, Berlin and Venice.
Just Film is the biggest sub-festival of PÖFF, celebrating its 23rd edition in 2023.
With the tools available to us – especially mobile devices – it’s an exciting time to be a creative, delving into photography, podcasting and filmmaking.
And following my turn on the “Voice to the voiceless” panel at #MoJoFest (The Media Production & Technology Show, Olympia London) in June 2022 I’m grateful to contribute to any platform which encourages creativity in audio and video – documentary or drama – and be recognised as an advocate and ambassador for #MadeOnAMobile creativity!
