Wedding Day Content Creation

By Jon Gill, Award-winning filmmaker, social media specialist, and content creator with 15 years of storytelling experience.
NEW: Special Offer for 2026 & 2027 Weddings

Most of my weddings so far have been for friends and family — despite years of experience filming live events, documentaries, and social-first content.

So, for the first three confirmed bookings for weddings in 2026 or 2027, I’m offering my “New” package at a reduced rate of **£1200** (normally £1800). Details below.

What I Don’t Do

If you’re looking for a glossy, cinematic wedding film I’m probably not your guy.

Location and weather permitting I can do drone footage, and I’m partial to slo-motion. However what I produce is closer the kind of content you’d want to capture and instantly share yourself — if you happened to have the eye, experience, and storytelling instincts of an award-winning documentary filmmaker.

Authentic, emotion filled moments, both planned and unexpected!

Why Shoot on an iPhone?

For the same reason that you do. It’s convenient, great quality and ideal for environments where you want to react quickly to what’s happening and not miss a thing.

A few years ago, I wouldn’t have believed a phone could shoot a wedding properly. Those days are gone.

I use Pro Max iPhones, have the most up to date pro camera apps (used by journalists and filmmakers) plus I have great quality wireless mics that no one will notice, plus a few extra toys (drone, action cameras) as required.

And because I blend in like a guest (rather than a film crew) people stay relaxed and natural. Less fuss, just your day.

Drone Footage

Weather and local restrictions permitting, I’m fully qualified and registered for commercial drone operation to capture both drone video and stills.

Fast Turnaround

I move quickly.

In most cases, you’ll receive a 60-second Insta-ready short within 24 hours of the day — ready to share immediately.

Your finished edits will follow shortly afterwards, often before you’re back from honeymoon.

How It Works

We’ll start with a chat about your plans, priorities, and what matters most to you.

Once booked, we’ll build a flexible shot list together — from must-haves to nice-to-haves — and refine it right up to the wedding day if needed.

Preparations, arrivals, vows, speeches, portraits, party chaos… we’ll decide together what gets captured.

You choose the music (copyright permitting), where the content lives, and how it’s shared — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, WhatsApp or anywhere else.

I can also help curate and incorporate guest-shot clips and photos into your final edits.

Final Delivery

Content can be delivered in horizontal, vertical, or both formats depending on where you want to use it.

Perfect for:

* Instagram Reels
* TikTok
* YouTube
* Facebook
* X / Threads
* WhatsApp family groups
* Or simply for yourselves

Awards & Recognition

My documentary film “A Good Thing To Do”, about Edinburgh artist Andrew Crummy, won Best Agency/Freelancer Film at the 2024 Comms2Point0 Awards.

In the same year, both “A Good Thing To Do” and “Ben Wilson: Chewing Gum Man” screened and received commendations at SF3 — Australia’s internationally recognised smartphone film festival.

“Ben Wilson: Chewing Gum Man” went on to receive eight festival laurels in 2024, while “A Good Thing To Do” received three more.
